A new DVR with a never-before-seen feature doesn't come around every day, and if it's the sort of amenity that works in every room of the house, without compromise, then we just have to review it. What would make the list? Try the Dish Hopper whole-home DVR, which can record six shows at once. Of course, there are specs and marketing claims, and then there's real-world performance. The good news for me was that my new Dish coworkers and I were given the opportunity to try out the Hopper and Joey yesterday, and I will definitely have to get this installed soon. It would take me such a long time to record 250 hours of HD content, especially because the new Primetime Anytime feature doesn’t impact the 250 HD hours of recording space because of the partitioned hard drive on the Hopper. The option to record up to 6 HD network programs at once with Primetime (like CBS, NBC, ABC, and FOX, etc.), and keep them stored for an eight days at a time is going to be a huge convenience.
ReplyDeleteYou have a lot more will power then I did Bob, the minute I received training for The Hopper I knew I needed to have one, and before March was out I had it. I was happy with the 250 hours, but when they doubled it to 500 hours my record light lit up. My favorite feature has been the Primetime Anytime feature, is has single handedly brought peace to a household that was embroiled in a DVR scheduling war. Now that Dish has launched the Auto Hop as I found out Thursday night when I got to my night shift at the Phoenix Dish call center, I love it even more. Now when I fall asleep half way through the show I won’t have odd dreams about selling schickies.
