The position will be responsible for the technical support of the hardware and software of university owned systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Windows and Apple computer configurations. Microsoft Office installation and configuration, wireless network setup and configuration, setup and configuration of various software Internet browser plug-ins. Provide administration of warranty repair, insure claims are valid and accurate.
The ability to support a wide range of technologies and work independently is a critical skill in this position. The successful candidate will require skills in both verbal and written communications, user training, superb interpersonal skills, and an emphasis on teamwork.
Knowledge of Window and Apple operating systems, and TCP/IP networking is essential, as is an understanding of the basics of H.323 videoconferencing and a conceptual knowledge of A/V equipment such as that listed above. Experience in audiovisual systems and associated equipment, such as Crestron control systems is essential. Technology industry Certifications such as, InfoComm, Crestron, Bi-amp, Extron, A+, Dell, Lenovo, or other networking and Microsoft certifications are beneficial. Proficiency with printers, faxes, and server administration is desired.
Two or four year degree in Technology or similar degree preferred.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in the field of technology related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

This position is subject to the Career Banding Salary Administration Plan. If candidates are not identified at the Journey level, management may consider candidates at a lower competency level. Pay will be commensurate with applicant's competencies as well as budget, equity, and market considerations.
Salary Grade Equivalent: 63 (for reduction-in-force priority purposes only)
