Bill O'Reilly was a guest on Glenn Beck's Web TV show on Monday, marking the top-rated Fox News host's first appearance on Beck's new venture.
O'Reilly stopped by Beck's Midtown Manhattan studios to plug his new book--"Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination That Changed America"--and to talk about the Republican 2012 field. "If you had a gun to your head, who would you vote for today?" Beck asked his former cable news colleague.
"I'm not gonna say. I never say who I'm going to vote for," O'Reilly responded. "I'm watching all of them." Instead, he judged the some of the leading candidates in the GOP field, sometimes based solely on their appearances on his Fox News show.
? On Herman Cain: "I like Herman Cain. I don't think he has the experience to be president of the United States. When I had Herman Cain on 'The Factor,' he didn't know anything about foreign policy."
? Rick Perry: "Don't know. He's the great unknown. He hasn't come on the program yet. We've invited him. They're working up to it."
? Rick Santorum: "I like the senator, but I think he's an ideologue. I think this is a time in American history where we don't need an ideologue in office. We need a problem solver--primarily an economic problem solver."
? Michele Bachmann: "I don't think the Congresswoman has the experience to lead at that level, because you got the Chinese people, you got Putin coming back--you got these people who are basically ...? you've got to go mano y mano with them. Can Michele Bachmann do that? Not at this point."
? Mitt Romney: "Philosophically, I'm different, but I think he is a very good economics guy. That might be enough this time around."
